Eleonora Scalia is originally from Tuscany, Italy, and is now based in Florence, where she runs Think Different Studio with her twin sister. After 12 years working as a designer for major European fashion brands, she chose a different path, one rooted in slower rhythms, deeper values, and purpose.

Through her studio and as a professor of Embroidery Art at Polimoda fashion university, Eleonora weaves together memory, nature, culture, and ancestral arts, seeing art as an act of care, intention, and ritual.

Her practice draws from her professional experience in fashion, while also seeking to unlearn and reconnect with ancestral knowledge, indigenous wisdom, and the sacred bond with nature.

During her residency at Texere, Eleonora is exploring embroidery as a ritual act, natural dyes, and collective weaving, with the intention of connecting to the energy of Oaxaca and co-creating with the local community. For her, this residency is an opportunity to plant seeds of vision and connection that may grow for generations to come.
